Sunday May 7th Tim Preston with the assistance of club president Lee Reightler test flew Tim's 1/4 scale Citabria Pro. The plane has an 80" wingspan and is powered by an OS .91 2stroke. After a few minor glitches in the pits Lee and Tim had the OS purring like a kitten. A few taxi passes up and down the runway and Lee closed his eyes and threw the throtle open and away she went. As you can see from the next few photos what a great looking plane that flew very well. Tim, well he is a proud owner of a nice plane.
	Mike Yates arrived at the field later in the afternoon and brought with him an electric jet. Here we go another maiden flight. Above Mike gives the jet a good toss as Mike McMillan mans the controls. To say the least this little jet is a handfull. After a short steep climb the jet leveled outand rolled to the right followed by a quick nose dive into the ground. Two attempts later both Mikes called it quits. Better luck another day.
